the challenge

VOXA aimed to bridge the gap between Romanian content (books, podcasts) and technology by building an app that elevates the experience of digital audio streaming.

Building an app both for web and mobile that provides access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, podcasts, and more while considering the copyright licenses, scalability, and a streamlined user experience were the main components we looked at during the development process.

the solution

VOXA launched a mobile application compatible with iOS and Android platforms, complemented by a dedicated website housing an extensive collection of Romanian content.

Through a subscription, users gain unrestricted access to a rich library of books, audiobooks, and podcasts, all readily accessible on their mobile devices.

The interface is extremely friendly, and users can easily browse their audiobooks and ebooks based on various categories, available listening time, authors, narrators, recommendations, and more.

VOXA successfully raised over 540k euros through Seedblink, a crowdfunding platform that allowed them to involve the Romanian community in building a localized content app, and in addition, the product was featured across all national media.
